(TITC)- From 14 to 15 October, Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism coordinated with Da Nang Department of Tourism organized a training course and lauching ceremony for more than 100 students in Da Nang becoming tourism volunteers.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Director of Travel Management Department Pham Le Thao, emphasized that Viet Nam tourism has been growing and making great improvement. In 2017, Viet Nam welcomed nearly 13 million international visitors, increasing 30% compared to 2016. In the first 9 months of 2018, Viet Nam has welcomed nearly 12 million international visitors. Tourism is considered as one of the economic sectors with the most sustainable development in recent years.

With strong growth of international tourists, it is necessary to encourage volunteers to assist tourists in peak seasons. At the same time, it is also an opportunity for students to practice their expertise in foreign language and tourism.

On 14th October, more than 100 students participated the training course about skills and knowledge to become tourism volunteers.
