The two-day event sees nearly 80 units from sectors and localities showcasing ‘green’ products and environmentally-friendly production models and technologies, which combine the enhancement of product quality and the protection of the environment and public health.

As part of the programme, a “TRASHION runway show’ is taking place with the message of protecting the environment through the smallest acts, joining hands to preserve the beautiful nature and reducing plastic waste.

Representatives from many businesses have signed commitments to environmental protection by pressing the button to turn on a crystal ball bearing the words “Together for the national green environment”.

In addition, volunteers participated in a run for the environment and for health, aiming to promote a healthy lifestyle for the community, towards a greener, cleaner and more beautiful life in the future.

There are also many other activities scheduled within the framework of the programme, including experiencing ecotourism that applies 4.0 technologies, a countryside market introducing delicious Hanoian cuisine, kids planting trees with recycled waste, and experiencing ‘green’ production models.

Addressing the event, Dr. Nguyen Hung Thinh, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Environment Administration, affirmed that the activities held by the VACNE over the past three decades, including the “For the national green environment” programme, have brought about positive results, attracting the participation of the community and the entire political system.

He asked the association to continue promoting its strength in providing advice concerning the building of policies and to maintain communication activities to raise the community’s awareness of environmental protection and sustainable development, including the “For the national green environment” programme.
