Intangible cultural heritage investigation 2019 in Cao Bang

The northern mountainous province of Cao Bang will investigate intangible cultural heritages in Thach An, Hoa An, Thong Nong and Ha Quang districts from May to October 2019.

This is an activity to implement Circular 04/2010/TT-BVHTTDL on June 30th, 2010 of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on investigating cultural heritages and making scientific documents for selected intangible cultural heritage for national heritage.

The investigation aims to clearly identify the number, type and identification of intangible cultural heritage values ​​in the province; make a list and propose a plan to preserve and promote heritage values; compile scientific dossiers to propose national intangible cultural heritages; preserve and promote local cultural heritages, contributing to raising awareness and responsibility among the community in preserving and promoting heritage values.

As scheduled, dossiers on two outstanding heritages, including printed patterns from beeswax of Dao Tien ethnic group and brocade weaving of Tay ethnic group in the province, will be compiled to propose the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for national intangible cultural heritage.
