In recently years, Binh Thuan has drawn a lot of tourism investment projects. The province’s aim in 2008 is to welcome 2 million tourists in which 180 thousand foreigner tourists. In order to develop tourism combine with sustainable environment protection, projects are required to pay attention to environment protection.
Some of tourist sites were re-arranged such as Doi Duong resort, Mui Ne sand dune, Hon Rom resort…. The province set up six tourism management boards to manage environment protection in resorts, conserve public security and merchandising due to restrict cheat and put up price. Most resorts in Phan Thiet – Mui Ne have waste water treatment system to meet environment standard such as Phu Hai, Novotel, White Sand, Seahorse, Saigon-Mui Ne resorts…). Moreover, tourism operations have sanitation workers to clean up beach. People‘s Committee of Phan Thiet City held propaganda against throw rubbish to streets, public place; set up teams to collect rubbish in resident group, clean up beach… Up to now, 100% kiosks in resorts have rubbish bin. Tourism environment protection has contributed to improve natural environment and keep ecological balance, reduce environment impact caused by tourists.
