La Nga river winds its way down to Ham Thuan Bac, Tanh Linh and Duc Linh districts - the three mountainous districts of Binh Thuan province. A lot of beautiful landscapes have formed along La Nga river basin, so this is a good condition for ecotourism development of these localities.
In Ham Thuan Bac district, there are two dreamlike hydropower reservoirs (Ham Thuan reservoir and Da Mi reservoir), and many grandiose waterfalls located in the forests of Da Mi commune which seem to attract visitors to exploit. Coming to this region, tourists can go sightseeing to learn about rural living in the villages of ethnic people in La Dạ and Đa Mi communes… Along the national highway 55, which has just been completed, towards Tanh Linh district, visitors will reach ecotourism destinations: Ba waterfall and immense Bien Lac lake.
In addition, Tanh Linh district authorities have defined tourism development as a priority to attract visitors. The district’s orientation by 2015 emphasizes that Tanh Linh district will concentrate on infrastructure investment in order to make tourism to become an important sector of the district; step up economic structure transfer of the district; invest in completing Ba waterfall tourist site. The district authorities encourage all economic sectors and seek investment in setting up entertainment services in tourist sites such as Da Ban waterfall, Truot waterfall, Mai waterfall which are located in Duc Phu commune in the form of ecotourism and outdoor tourism.
In the basin of La Nga river in Duc Linh district, there are some eco-tourist and outdoor tourist areas. Specifically, tourists can visit floating fish farms along the river, and by the way, come to “historical addresses” in Sung Nhon commune (“historical addresses” refers to the places of battles in the resistance wars to liberate our nation), or enjoy fresh fruits in Da Kai commune … If the localities establish a combination tour connecting eco-tourist and outdoor tourist sites along La Nga river, the advantages will be fully exploited to promote the strength of Duc Linh district.
