The authorities of Da Nang City have taken a wide range of measures and policies while calling for joint efforts from the business community and travel agents to recover local tourism, causing Da Nang to be among the top list for travellers after COVID-19.

The city’s hospitality sector has set the target of welcoming 3.5 million visitors in 2022, three times higher than 2021, including 180,000 foreigners. The sector also targets to earn 6.7 trillion VND in tourism revenue.
To realise the targets, the city has adopted preferential policy on MICE (meeting, incentives, conferences and events) tourism, worked to improve infrastructure of water tourism, and diversified tourist products.
In addition, the city’s Department of Transport recently launched the CT15 inland wharf and inland waterway routes in the Son Tra Peninsula, providing a new experience for tourists, thus increasing visitors' length of stay in the city.
In March, the city’s tourism sector plans to launch the My An night beach and An Thuong tourism street, aiming to make them a highlight of the ‘Da Nang by night’ tourism programme.
Many popular tourist sites in the city have reopen their doors to welcome back visitors. Accordingly, Nui Than Tai Hot Spring Park is offering price discounts from 25% on its service packages for customers until April 19, 2022.
Meanwhile, the Sun World Ba Na Hills tourism complex will reopen on March 18 with discounted prices on buffet lunch and cable car fees; and visitors to Mikazuki Water Park can enjoy a 40% discount promotion on ticket prices.
Free admission has also been applied throughout 2022 to other popular tourist sites in the city, including Ngu Hanh Son (The Marble Mountains), Cham Museum, Da Nang Museum, and Truong Sa Exhibition House.

Deputy Director of the city’s Department of Tourism Nguyen Xuan Binh reported that about 45% of accommodation establishments and more than 150 travel agencies in the city have resumed operations and ready to serve customers with appealing promotion programmes.
More than 40 hotels across the city have launched tourism promotion programmes by offering a reduction of 20 to 50 percent on room prices and services.
Local travel businesses have made further attention to develop new high-quality tourism products targeting high-paying visitors, through incentives in MICE tourism, golf tourism, and sports tourism.
According to Vice Chairman of the city People’s Committee Tran Phuoc Son, the city’s authorities are giving priority to safely and flexibly adapting to as well as effectively controlling COVID-19 while recovering tourism, one of the city’s spearhead economic sectors.
In addition to attracting domestic travellers, Da Nang is also making thorough preparations to welcoming back international visitors. The city’s authorities have working closely with airlines, functional agencies and businesses to simplify the entry process for foreigners and strictly observe COVID-19 prevention and control to ensure the highest level of safety for visitors during their stay.
A project on expanding an aircraft apron at the Da Nang International Airport is getting underway in order to meet growing demand at the airport and contribute to promoting socio-economic, tourism and investment development in Da Nang and nearby localities in the central and Central Highlands regions.
The airport also plans to build a new cargo terminal with a designed capacity of handling 100,000 -150,000 tonnes of cargo annually, and recently announced a 10 percent – 50 percent reduction in service fees for airlines operating international flights.
