(TITC) - On 4th August 2022, in Ha Noi, on the occasion of the Indian business and press delegation to Vietnam to survey tourism products and services for Indian tourists, Mr. Ha Van Sieu, Vice Chairman of Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) had a meeting with the delegation.

Welcoming the delegation to Vietnam, VNAT’s Vice Chairman Ha Van Sieu wishes the delegation will have a wonderful and exciting survey trip to Vietnam.
Sharing a number of information about Vietnam tourism, VNAT’s Vice Chairman Ha Van Sieu stated, Vietnam is a beautiful country with 54 ethnic groups having rich and diverse traditional cultural identities. In 2019, Vietnam tourism reached a high result with 18 million international arrivals, including 160,000 indian visitor arrivals. According to VNAT’s Vice Chairman Ha Van Sieu, this was quite a modest number compared to the potential of the Indian market. Therefore, in the upcoming time, he hopes that both countries Vietnam and India will actively implement cooperation activities, promoting the number of exchange visitors between Vietnam and India, along with the advantage of good traditional friendship. “The success of the implementation will depend on the role of tourism businesses. The Vietnamese Government always has policies and solutions to support tourism businesses to bring tourists to Vietnam”, emphasised VNAT’s Vice Chairman Ha Van Sieu.

Indian tourists love the landscape, nature and people of Vietnam. Many tourism products such as wellness and weddings fit the tastes of Indian tourists; On the other hand, Vietnamese tourists always want to experience the cultural and spiritual tourism products of India. Besides, the operation of direct flights between the two countries creates a great opportunity for tourists to travel. As a result, the potential to increase the number of exchange visitors between the two sides is huge, said VNAT’s Vice Chairman Ha Van Sieu.
Feeling thankful for the warm welcome of VNAT, Mr. Basheer Abdul Rahim, Director of One Above Destination Management Services, survey team leader said, the 8-day survey in Vietnam (from 2nd to 9th August) in Cat Ba (Hai Phong), Ha Long (Quang Ninh), Ha Noi, Da Nang, Hoi An (Quang Nam) and Ho Chi Minh City. It will be a great basis for Indian tourism businesses to make decisions on choosing and promoting Vietnamese destinations and products to Indian tourists.

At the beginning of the survey, the charming ecological nature, tourism infrastructure and warm, friendly and hospitable feelings of Vietnamese people have left an enormous impression on the delegation. These are huge advantages of Vietnam tourism to attract Indian visitors in particular and international visitors in general. Indian tourism businesses always want to have many opportunities to cooperate with Vietnamese tourism businesses to share experiences and promote the number of visitors to exchange between the two countries, emphasised Mr. Basheer Abdul Rahim.
