(TITC) – From 19 - 21 October 2022, Department of Tourism of Ho Chi Minh City joined ITB Asia 2022 and held roadshow to promote Vietnam tourism – Ho Chi Minh City in Singapore.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Hoa, Director of HCMC’s Department of Tourism, participating ITB Asia 2022 Singapore is an important activity to promote international tourism, especially in Asian markets after more than 2 years of being "frozen" due to the pandemic. The Singapore market is considered an important market to Vietnam in general and Ho Chi Minh City in particular. In 2019, Singapore ranked 8th among the top international markets to the HCMC, reaching over 288,000 arrivals. While Singaporean visitors to Vietnam reached 308,969 arrivals, ranking 12th.
Now, there are many flights connect Vietnam and Singapore operated by Vietnam Airlines, Bamboo Airways, Singapore Airlines, Air Asia... Ho Chi Minh City has a favorable geographical position and a wide variety of tourism products and services that attract the business travelers and leisure travel segments (bleisure travel) as well as short-time tourists.
Visiting the booth of HCMC’s Department of Tourism, visitors were updated with the latest tourist information; receive many publications and items of Ho Chi Minh City Tourism destinations; enjoy performances of ethnic musical instruments dan bau, dan Tranh, lute T-rung, especially the making of to he and conical hats coloring... Products, services, policies on MICE tourism and the program "Live fully in Vietnam" are also highlighted here.
The roadshow to promote Vietnam tourism – Ho Chi Minh City took place at Sands Expo & Convention Center, Marina Bay Sands (Singapore) on the afternoon of 19th October with the participation of 100 participants, representatives of Vietnamese Embassy in Singapore.
ITB Asia, ‘Asia’s Leading Travel Trade Show’, now in its 15th year, gracefully opened at the Sands Expo and Convention Center, Marina Bay Sands, Singapore. Co-located with MICE Show Asia and Travel Tech Asia, the 3-in-1 show will run as an in-person event until Friday, 21th October 2022.
Reflecting renewed confidence in MICE events, ITB Asia 2022 has attracted over 80 National Tourism Organisations (NTOs) and Regional Tourism Organisations (RTOs). Under the anchor theme, “Go Big & Go Forward: Travel Industry on the Road to Recovery and Growth”, travel leaders who are at the top of their respective industries will share insights on key trends and how to stay competitive and quickly maximise growth potential.
