(TITC) - On 27th May, at Moc Chau Island Tourist Area, Moc Chau District, Son La Province, the Opening ceremony of the Son La Provincial Cultural Tourism Festival "The World's Leading Regional Natural Destination" in 2023 was held to honour the value of natural beauty, introduce and promote the Moc Chau - Van Ho tourism brand that is increasingly spreading both domestically and internationally.

Giving his opening remarks at the ceremony, Mr. Hoang Quoc Khanh, Chairman of Son La Provincial People’s Committee said, Moc Chau National Tourist Area of Son La Province has surpassed 7 nominations as famous landmarks in the world and was crowned as "World's Leading Regional Nature Destination in 2022" by the WTA. This is a precious title, an honour and pride of Moc Chau in particular and Son La in general.
Son La Province hopes that the image of nature, people, historical sites and landscapes of Moc Chau National Tourist Area - “World's Leading Regional Natural Destination” will spread widely to domestic and international tourists so that Moc Chau will leave an unforgettable impression in everyone's heart.

Highly appreciating the tourism potential of Moc Chau National Tourist Area, Mr. Graham Cooke stressed, Moc Chau National Tourist Area is endowed by nature, its beautiful natural scenery stays practically with wild features, unique culture of ethnic groups in the area, attracting, being loved by tourists and voted "World's Leading Regional Nature Destination in 2022".
Son La Cultural Tourism Festival "The world's leading regional natural destination" takes place from 26th to 28th May at Moc Chau National Tourist Area.
The Festival takes place with rich, diverse in cultural identities of ethnic groups activities, such as: Fruit picking festival in Moc Chau District, Off-road motorcycle race; display, introduce and promote cultural space, imbued with national identity; beautiful photo contest for tourism, smart tourism, ethnic cuisine, souvenirs, booths introducing OCOP products of Son La as well as provinces in the country.
