Being blessed by nature with its own advantages with rare hot mineral resources and a system of 36 unique historical and cultural relics, Thanh Thuy district has the most favorable conditions for investment in developing tourism to become a key industry, raising income for people. On that basis, for the 2020-2025 term, the District Party Congress Resolution identified tourism development as a breakthrough, with the focus on building the district into a key tourist area, an ecological and resort tourism center of Phu Tho province.
Concretizing the goals of the District Party Congress Resolution, the District Party Executive Committee issued Resolution No. 08-NQ/HU dated April 16, 2021 on tourism development in Thanh Thuy district for the 2021-2025 period, with an orientation to 2030; Focusing on drastic direction and synchronous implementation of solutions to develop “smokeless industry”. Determining “traffic goes first and opens the way”, creating a foundation to connect regions, tours, and tourist routes, Thanh Thuy takes advantage of the central and provincial capital to invest in the key route 317G connecting National Highway 32 to Hoa Binh; renovate and upgrade roads connecting National Highway 32 with National Highway 70 of Phu Tho province to Hoa Binh and provincial road 317C...
The district has also focused on attracting investment resources to develop tourism infrastructure. From 2020 until now, Thanh Thuy has attracted more than VND 7,000 billion for investment in tourism development. Thanks to that, the infrastructure system serving tourism is increasingly being made perfect and synchronous in a modern direction. Currently in the district, there are eight units operating effectively in resort tourism, entertainment, and ecotourism services such as: Green Pearl Island Tourist Area, Vuon Vua Resort & Villas, Bamboo Resort, Tre Nguon Resort... There are also about 45 tourist accommodation businesses with more than 3,900 rooms, of which 3,388 rooms meet three-star standards. Recently, the five-star Whyndham Thanh Thuy Hot Mineral Resort has officially come into operation, creating a highlight to attract tourists to Phu Tho.
Implementing solutions synchronously, up to now, 4/4 tourism targets set by the Resolution of the XXVI Thanh Thuy District Party Congress have all been completed according to the implementation roadmap. In 2023, it is estimated that the district has attracted about 680 thousand tourists to visit and relax, bringing in a revenue of VND 520 billion, creating jobs for more than 17,300 direct and indirect workers. In particular, the district successfully organized Thanh Thuy District Tourism Weeks - Fall 2022 and 2023, contributing to introducing and promoting local tourism products.
Tourism development is the right direction, exploiting local advantages, making an important contribution to improving people’s income and life. Currently, the average income of the district is about VND 58.1 million/ person/ year, the poverty rate has decreased to 2.37%. The district maintains and constantly improves the criteria for a new rural district, striving to realize the goals of an advanced new rural area and a model new rural area.
