Ta Lien Son Peak, situated in Ta Leng Commune, Tam Duong District, Lai Chau Province, is nearly 3,000 meters above sea level, hence Vietnam’s sixth-highest peak. What sets Ta Lien Son apart is its unique charm, stemming from the ancient forests, luxuriant primeval flora, and towering old-growth trees adorned with moss and ferns. Each season adorns Ta Lien Son Peak with its own distinct allure - sometimes blanketed in the pristine white of camellia blossoms, other times ablaze with the fiery red hues of maple leaves, or even cloaked in various shades of vibrant green.

The path leading to Ta Lien Son Peak winds its way through a dense forest, a sanctuary of diverse plant life that makes visitors feel as if they had stepped into a fairytale realm. The best time to conquer this journey is from September to May as the weather is dry with less rain, making the route more manageable. After traversing layers of vibrant foliage, travelers will reach the summit, which, while spacious, boasts an abundance of lush shrubbery. Standing at the peak, one feels as if they were floating on a sea of clouds, with panoramic vistas that encompass the entire Hoang Lien Son Range, including the hidden peaks of Bach Moc Luong Tu and Nhiu Co San. Furthermore, the entire Lai Chau City can be seen nestled modestly at the mountain’s base.
Ta Lien Son enjoys a relatively mild and cool climate throughout the year, with the possibility of snow and ice at the end of the year when temperatures drop. Spring also offers a delightful visit, when the giant botanical garden is adorned with multi-colored azalea blossoms.
