(TITC) - In early May 2024, the first night tour by electric car to see fireflies and wildlife at Cuc Phuong National Park (Ninh Binh Province) took place.
A night tour to visit Cuc Phuong forest is held from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., every day of the week, travelling by electric vehicle for a distance of 5 km, with 10 people per vehicle. Each tour lasts about 1 hour, the last tour departs at 8:45 p.m.

Starting from the experience and creativity area for children, visitors will move with guides through trails, watch fireflies, night wildlife such as deer, insects and explore night life in the forest. Visitors may also be lucky enough to observe rare animals such as pangolins, striped civets, binturong, wild cats, otters and lorises. The tour also helps participants understand forest rescue and conservation works.

According to Mr. Pham Kien Cuong, Director of the Center for Environmental Education and Services of Cuc Phuong National Park, said this is a tour product that helps educate the environment and increase understanding of natural and wild life.
The tour is limited to only about 100 visitors per session to ensure it does not affect the natural habitat of flora and fauna. "Visitors are only allowed to visit the forest edge area in a circle, not entering the core area," added Mr. Cuong.

The customer service and reception division of Cuc Phuong National Park said they have received thousands of registrations since announcing the opening of the tour three days ago. Visitors need to prepare necessary personal items such as long clothes, mosquito and insect repellant, and can bring binoculars and cameras. Information about butterfly and firefly season at Cuc Phuong is continuously updated on the Park's fanpage.
Cuc Phuong National Park is a nature reserve and special-use forest located in the three provinces of Ninh Binh, Hoa Binh and Thanh Hoa, the main gate is in Nho Quan District, Ninh Binh. The park has a rich flora and fauna, typical of a tropical rain forest. In the months of April and May, Cuc Phuong is in butterfly season, while the summer months are firefly breeding season. These are the times that attract a lot of tourists to Cuc Phuong. From the beginning of the butterfly season, from the end of April until now, thousands of visitors have visited the park every day.
