(TITC) - On 25th May, the Opening Ceremony of Korea Travel Festa 2024 took place at K-Town Subdivision, Grand World Commercial Area, Ocean City, Hung Yen Province. Mr. Ha Van Sieu, Vice Chairman of Vietnam National Authority of Tourism (VNAT) attended and spoke at the event.
Korea Travel Festa 2024, which took place in 2 days 25th and 26th May, is an activity in the framework of Visit Korea Year 2023 - 2024, with many unique and diverse activities. The programme had many booths from Vietnam and Korea tourism units, provided exciting experiences for visitors.

Giving his opening remarks, VNAT’s Vice Chairman Ha Van Sieu stated, during the past 32 years, the friendly and cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Korea has effectively promoted the economic and cultural cooperation between the two countries, including the field of tourism.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam highly appreciates the initiatives, efforts of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Korea in the cooperation of promoting the development of both countries’ tourism. So far, Korea has been the no.1 source market to Vietnam tourism. On the other hand, Vietnam is one of the top tourist source markets to Korea. In the first 4 months of 2024, Vietnam welcomed 1.6 million Korean visitor arrivals, an increase of 50% compared to the same period of 2023, accounting for nearly 26% the total number of international visitor arrivals to Vietnam. Otherwise, Korea welcomed more than 167 thousand Vietnamese visitor arrivals, an increase of 33% compared to the same period of 2023, ranked 4th on the number of international visitors to Korea and became the ASEAN’s leading market of Korea.
Korea Travel Festa 2024 is another proof to show the presence of Korea tourism in Vietnam, attracting the public and visitors. With the attraction of culture, landscape and professional services, several tourism products namely K-POP; K-FOOD,... have caught the hearts of many Vietnamese people and motivated them to travel to Korea.
VNAT’s Vice Chairman Ha Van Sieu believes that, with the attention and efforts of both sides, Vietnam and Korea tourism will progressively develop to a new height. There will be more Vietnamese visitors to Korea and vice versa, consistent with the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between the two countries.
The event is a playground for Vietnamese to have new experiences about Korean culture and tourism. At the same time, this is also a good opportunity to exchange and learn about cultural industries and tourism development between the two countries.

Korea Travel Festa 2024 welcomed the participation of Korea tourism units including Korean destinations, local tourism agencies, large Korean businesses, K-tourism Start-up… There, they provided information about Korean travel, new destinations in Korea to visitors. Along with that are many interesting game activities and gifts. At the same time, Korean units organise many special activities such as trying on Hanbok (Korean traditional costume), playing the traditional Tuho game, colouring pictures...
