Da Nang has been organisng many large activities and events to serve its residents and tourists, but service prices at accommodation facilities have kept as stable as normal. Price stabilisation work is actively coordinated by municipal departments, agencies, functional forces, and tourism businesses during the fireworks festival season and peak summer tourism season.

Through the performance nights of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2024, the number of tourists coming to Da Nang is very large, showing that this is always an attractive event.
Mr. Tran Minh Tam, a tourist from the southern metropolis of Ho Chi Minh City, said: “In order to prepare for the trip to Da Nang and watch the fireworks on the recent night of the DIFF 2024, my family booked rooms and services at a hotel on Vo Nguyen Giap Street and booked tickets to watch the fireworks. Even though there was a fireworks show on the night, room service prices were not much different from normal days. The prices of other services were also publicly displayed, so my family's trip was very happy and satisfied”.
At some hotels along Tran Hung Dao, Bach Dang and Le Van Duyet with convenient locations to watch fireworks, service prices are also transparently displayed.
Mr. Tran Hung, the Communications Manager of Wyndham Danang Golden Bay Hotel, said that to serve tourists during this festive season, especially during the ongoing DIFF 2024, in addition to the listed service room prices, the hotel also sells buffet tickets for guests wishing to see fireworks.
According to preliminary statistics released by the Da Nang Department of Tourism, the total number of visitors served by accommodation establishments during the recent four nights of DIFF 2024 reached about 268,592, an increase of 11.9% over the same period of DIFF 2023.
In detail, the number of international visitors reached 108,577 arrivals, an increase of 32.5% over the same period, and the number domestic ones stood at 160,015, a slight increase of 1.3% over the same period.
Room occupancy across the city reached 70-77% on the performance nights thanks to the increase in frequency and passenger capacity on flights to Da Nang during the summer tourism peak, especially international ones and policies to stimulate railway tourism contributing to increasing the number of visitors to the city by train. Particularly on nights with fireworks shows, hotels served more guests traveling by road from Da Nang’s neighbouring cities and provinces.
As reported by Mr. Tan Van Vuong, the Deputy Director of the Da Nang Department of Tourism, the department has sent documents on enhancing communication and promotion of DIFF 2024 and regularly requested tourism businesses in the city to carefully , ensure quality of customer services during fireworks shows at DIFF 2024 and make room price registration if any and fully disclose information about service prices with policies and conditions for ordering and using services. The department’s inspectorate has conducted actual inspections at 24 hotels to check their compliance with legal regulations in tourist accommodation business activities in the city.
To ensure service quality, attitude, style, and professional service skills at tourism businesses, since the beginning of the year, the municipal Department of Tourism has organised 5 tourism professional training classes for tour guides and 4 seminars to improve professional skills for tourism industry human resources so as to meet increased travel demand this summer.
“In general, tourist accommodation establishments in the city always comply well with regulations on offering products and services at the publicly-displayed price. Currently, the municipal Department of Tourism has not received feedback from any organisations or citizens regarding the price issue at tourist accommodation establishments. This agency will continue inspect units on compliance with legal regulations in tourist accommodation business activities in the city.
