Under the sunlight, each wild bird exudes its own beauty. Photographer Nguyen Thuy Linh, 33, residing in Phuoc Ninh Ward, Hai Chau District, Da Nang, has devoted her entire youth to protecting wild birds. For her, preserving the value of nature is the time to live kindly with passion.

Love beauty and freedom
Six years ago, at an age full of dreams and ambitions, Linh embarked on a journey to preserve nature with a very gentle and simple mindset. Photography trips that require long treks through the forest or camping on hot, dry sand those only strong men can endure, but for Linh, nothing is impossible.
Wading into deep forests and climbing over cliffs have resulted in the arms and legs of this female photographer with full of cuts and scars from insect bites. Her legs have been covered with leeches when she went into the humid forest to wait for birds. She has had a fever several times due to the poison of the three-cavity ants, and she has slipped and fell many times.
“For me, those are the moments that I often call romantic in my journey of photographing birds. The greatest value I receive is not only the beautiful photos but also the quiet moments I have. Those are the experiences that allow me to write a story about my youth” Thuy Linh shared.
As a female photographer specialising in wild bird photography in Central Viet Nam, Linh believes that life is not a race. It is a journey for us to gradually contemplate the meaning of life.
Entering the "game" with the beauty of creation and the journey of nature conservation, the perspective of a woman like photographer Thuy Linh will have many interesting differences. For example, in front of a nest of baby birds, other photographers often choose diverse camera angles from frame ratio, artistry and innovation. As for Ms. Linh, the photo can simply express maternal love or altruism. Thanks to that, the depth of the message of Thuy Linh's photo carries profound humanistic values. From there, the conservation of wild nature invisibly becomes more condensed and concise.
Travelling to the deep forest or deserted streams to get as close as possible to an individual wild bird, any photographer will form their own artistic ego. “When we give respect and protect nature, nature responds with peace, freedom and happiness that no other place can bring” Thuy Linh said.
Finding truth of life from birds
According to Thuy Linh, she is always ready to contribute voices and spread love of nature to many people. There are many ways to do that, at least in the field of photography. Each frame is meticulously crafted, vividly depicting the life cycle and survival instinct of birds. Each story is full of experience, delving into real values.
The female photographer expresses her concern of a large number of wild bird traps found in Da Nang. As a result, many species of birds, especially those with migratory habits or small birds, have been caught in an extremely cruel way. At the same time, some other species will also be trapped in it. This problem not only directly affects the number of bird species but also disrupts the balance of the natural ecosystem.
In the natural environment, the presence of each species and their number all play certain roles. When the number of any bird species is sharply reduced, it will lead to the loss of important links in the food chain, leaving behind consequences that are difficult to overcome for nature.
Thuy Linh said “The use of blind net traps to hunt wild birds has been putting many species in a critical state, threatening their survival. Rare birds can be quickly destroyed, reducing biodiversity and affecting their natural migration process”. Currently, wild bird conservation is increasingly attracting the participation of the bird-loving community.
