(TITC) - On 26th July, Hue Festival Center informed about the main programmes and activities of the Autumn and Winter Festivals that will take place within the framework of Hue Festival 2023.
Hue Festival 2023 is associated with the orientation of the Four-Season Festival to organise a series of festival activities throughout the year, promoting the unique values of Hue culture and Vietnamese culture, presenting the advantage of attractions, types of festivals, spiritual tourism; contribute to promoting socio-economic development, so that Thua Thien Hue truly becomes a typical festival city of Vietnam.

By far, activities at the Spring Festival and Summer Festival have been spread out with traditional festivals, folk festivals and Hue Traditional Craft Festival Week themed "The Essence of Vietnamese Crafts" and activities to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Complex of Hue Monuments, 20 years of Hue royal court music inscribed by UNESCO has attracted the attention of many people and tourists. Following is the Autumn Festival and the Winter Festival will be held with plentiful and special programmes.
Accordingly, the Autumn Festival will take place with 12 main activities such as: International Fine Arts Exhibition on 4th August; Avalokitesvara Festival is held on 4th to 5th August; Hue Ao Dai Festival programme on 12th August; Exhibition of Royal Treasures of Khai Dinh Reign, 100-year journey of Musée Khai Dinh to Hue Museum of Royal Antiquities on 24th August; Hue Nam Temple Festival in the end of August 2023; Traditional boat racing festival on the Perfume River on 2nd September; Hue Matsuri 2023, Manga Palace from 9th to 10th September; International Photography Festival from 9th-14th September; Hue Unicorn Festival in the middle of September 2023; International Lantern Festival from 21st-28th September; Lion and Dragon performance on 28th September; Hue Tuong show - the echo of ancient on 26th September.
The Winter Festival with 8 main activities such as: Instrumental Performance Festival "Green Notes" in mid-October 2023; Wellness Festival – Healthcare Tourism Week; Drawing contest about heritage among young people on 23rd November; Art programme "Winter Tales of Hue" on 10th December; International Music Festival from 15th-21st December; Singing Festival "Yellow mimosa" in mid-December; Festival of art clubs in Thua Thien Hue Province and Ao Dai performance; Countdown programme on 31st December.

According to Hue Festival Center, among the above programmes, Hue Ao Dai Festival, International Lantern Festival and International Music Festival will be the highlight programmes. Hue Ao Dai Festival 2023 with the theme "Stories from a river" will innovate, improve the quality of art and gradually bring the Hue Ao Dai Festival which was previously held into a special art programme of Hue. This is a unique and novel art show, bringing together famous ao dai designers from all over the country, with special collections associated with the story from the Perfume River.
The International Lantern Festival will be an event to contribute to preserving traditional crafts, developing and promoting the Hue lantern, and at the same time introducing types of traditional lanterns, the art of making and playing lanterns of some countries in the world.
The International Music Festival with the theme "Sounds of Nature" is an important cultural and artistic event to promote international cooperation and cultural exchange between Vietnam and other nations. The event is also a cultural activity to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and many countries around the world. To gradually form and develop a new contemporary music festival in Thua Thien Hue in winter within the framework of Hue Festival.
