Accordingly, the Earth Hour 2023 Campaign will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2023, from 8:30 to 21:30. Citizens can participate in this event through simple actions such as turning off unnecessary lights and electrical appliances in response to the Campaign at the time of the event. The Provincial People's Committee (People's Committee) requires provincial departments, branches, and mass organizations in addition to itself in order to attract and improve the efficiency of organizing events in response to the 2023 Earth Hour Campaign throughout the entire province. People of districts, towns, and cities should disseminate the Earth Hour 2023 Campaign to all cadres, civil servants, and public employees in agencies, units of departments, and mass organizations so that they can mobilize relatives and families to participate in responding; direct the editorial board of agencies and units directly under the organization to report on the Earth Hour 2023 Campaign on the websites of their agencies and units from now until the end of the campaign; plan propaganda activities like radio and TV broadcasts, hang banners and slogans, or show them on LED screens at agencies and units; reduce the number of outdoor and decorative lights from March 18 to March 25, 2023.
At the same time that An Giang Radio and Television Station was promoting communication, An Giang Newspaper was responding and actively informing readers about the content and activities of the 2023 Earth Hour Campaign through broadcast columns, paper newsletters, and electronic newspapers from now until the end of the campaign.
In addition, An Giang Power Company and An Giang Electricity and Water Joint Stock Company must direct district-level units to organize propaganda activities about the Earth Hour 2023 Campaign in many practical and appropriate forms suitable to the actual conditions of each unit; Coordinate with An Giang Urban Environment Joint Stock Company to turn off or reduce the number of lights in public areas, with the exception of lighting areas serving the security, national defense, and other essential functions.
The successful organization of the Earth Hour 2023 campaign will actively contribute to increasing people's and society's awareness of energy conservation, environmental protection, and climate change mitigation.
