On 12th December 2023, Mr. Do Trong Hau - Deputy General Director of Da Nang International Terminal Investment and Operation Joint Stock Company (AHT) said, Da Nang International Terminal became the first airport terminal in Southeast Asia to receive Welcome Chinese certification.
This is also a testament to the station's special attention in understanding and satisfying the demands of Chinese tourists.
Da Nang International Terminal (Terminal T2) is ranked Gold - the highest of the three Silk, Jade, and Gold grades of the Welcome Chinese certificate issued by China Tourism Academy, a research organisation headquartered in Beijing, affiliated with China National Tourism Administration (CNTA).
In the world, Italy has 4 airports; France, Russia, Spain, Saudi Arabia each have one airport certified "Welcome Chinese". Thereby, Da Nang International Terminal became the first airport terminal in Southeast Asia to achieve this certification.
To achieve Welcome Chinese certification, Da Nang International Terminal has implemented items including displaying Chinese language on signage, flight display screens, restaurant menus, maps, and websites; Provide free hot water; Chinese-speaking staff; Stores provide payment services via UnionPay, Wechat Pay and have tax refund counters…

Mr. Do Trong Hau added, the airport terminal is an important gateway and also the first touch point for international tourists when arriving in Da Nang.
This certification will help strengthen the image of the station in particular and Da Nang in general as a convenient and hospitable destination for the Chinese tourist community, contributing to widely promoting and bringing local tourism services closer to this important market.
Previously, in March 2023, Da Nang International Terminal was honoured to become the first terminal in Vietnam to achieve 4-star Skytrax certification.
