(TITC) - Condé Nast Traveller published its global guide to the Best Places to Go in Asia in 2024, including Da Nang (Vietnam).
Asia is back, brighter and bolder and more ambitious than ever, stated Condé Nast Traveller. Some of the regions might take longer than others to shake off pandemic restrictions, yet signal their returns in full power.
Post the pandemic, tourists all over the world seem to embrace nature, focus on health nurturing. Da Nang, the city of bridges and a coastal city in Central Vietnam, famous for nature reserves, central Vietnamese cuisine and the firework festival.
The city is located amid dozens of UNESCO-recognised sites such as Hoi An Ancient Town, the Complex of Hue Monuments,... this modern beach city of Vietnam is easier to reach than ever thanks to the operation of new international flight routes connecting Da Nang with major cities in the world: Tokyo (Japan); Tai Pei, Taiwan (China) by Vietnam Airlines and China Airlines. And several Southeast Asian budget airlines launched flights to the city, with plenty more in the works.
Remarkably, around June annually, the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) draws thousands of visitors around the world to Da Nang on more than a hundred flights.
Just 20 minutes drive from the city centre, Son Tra Peninsula attracts tourists with its 17-storey, 220-foot statue of Lady Buddha, as well as endangered red-shanked douc langurs that live in the peninsula’s nature reserve.
Food specialties are another factor that lures visitors to Da Nang. Mì Quảng, the official noodle soup of the region, and Bánh Xèo turmeric crepes, food that carries Central Vietnamese features, should be another feature of any travel itinerary.
Hosting some of Vietnam's top luxury resorts, such as: Intercontinental Sun Peninsula Resort; IHG Hotel Group’s voco Ma Belle Danang;... Da Nang is putting efforts to serve visitors at their best. In 2024, the upcoming Da Nang’s first Mandarin Oriental property and an outpost of the wellness-driven Southeast Asian Fusion Hotel group promise to bring visitors premium services.
