(TITC) Building the image of a destination for wedding events is one of the noticeable promotional contents of Da Nang's tourism industry at the 30th SATTE Travel Expo 2023 (South Asia's Travel & Tourism Exchange) in India.
Accordingly, Da Nang - Quang Nam tourism businesses participating in the Travel Expo set up the Danang FantastiCity booth, with an area of 36m² in lobby 12, location D1337. This booth introduces and provides information about Da Nang tourism. This is also the main venue for meetings with exhibition partners.
Da Nang tourism has been receiving attention worldwide through familiar products such as sea & island tourism, night tourism, spiritual tourism. Currently, Da Nang is continuing to focus its development resources and promote its image as a wedding and golf tourism destination. Through the expo, Da Nang tourism targets high-class visitor groups, especially visitors from India and Europe.

According to Ms. Truong Thi Hong Hanh, Director of Da Nang Department of Tourism, from 2023, Da Nang tourism industry is expected to gradually implement promotional activities to build the image of the destination of the wedding event to attract the segmentation of couples, wedding photographers, wedding events and honeymoon visitors.
Da Nang, a coastal city will be a destination, a witness for happiness and a love journey of any couple. Besides, activities to support international wedding events taking place in Da Nang are also promoted by welcoming activities, giving souvenirs and promoting communication.
Wedding tourism will open a new direction of city tourism, contributing to positioning and raising the brand name of Da Nang - Asia’s Leading Festival and Event Destination. Da Nang will soon become an unmissable option for couples whenever they consider their wedding venue.
The 30th SATTE Travel Expo is the largest travel expo in India with the scale of 1400 booths. Here, many partners showed their excitement while enjoying Vietnamese coffee, experiencing VR360 virtual reality destinations as well as participating in the lucky draw to receive souvenirs, accommodation vouchers, tickets to visit the destination of Da Nang City.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai - Vietnamese Ambassador to India sent out his congratulation to Da Nang tourism for the first time attending the SATTE Travel Expo 2023.
Recently, there are 3 direct flights connecting major cities of India including New Delhi, Mumbai and Ahmedabad to Da Nang, operated by Vietjet Air from 18th October 2022 with the frequency of 4 flights/week, 3 flights/week, 4 flights/week respectively. Since the start of operation, the total number of Indian flights and arrivals to Da Nang has been 131 with more than 20,000 passengers, reaching 70% of the operating capacity.
From 2022 to now, tourism has gradually recovered strongly post the Covid-19 pandemic with positive growth in the number of visitors from the Indian market to the destination of Da Nang. According to the Da Nang Statistical Office, India is among the top 10 international source markets in Da Nang, ranking fifth after South Korea, Thailand, the US and Malaysia with an estimated total arrivals of 39,359, accounting for 4.66% number of international visitors to Da Nang City.
