Deep in the lush mountains of Binh Dinh, Ta Ma Stream captivates visitors with its untouched beauty. More than just a tranquil retreat, this hidden gem transforms into a breathtaking spectacle each spring when wild Ixora flowers burst into full bloom, blanketing the forest in radiant hues of red, orange, and gold.
Living amidst the bustling streets of Quy Nhon, I have never thought of myself as someone drawn to nature’s quiet beauty. Yet, images of flaming Ixora blossoms at Ta Ma Spring kept appearing on social media, stirring a deep curiosity within me.
One early morning in March, I decided to set off on a journey to witness this natural wonder for myself.
The 70-kilometer journey from Quy Nhon to Vinh Hiep was just far enough to leave behind the noise of the city. As I traveled along National Highway 19, past Cau 16 junction and onto Provincial Road 637, the scenery gradually transformed. Rice fields stretched endlessly, their green carpets swaying in the gentle breeze, while the air grew thick with the scent of earth and freshly cut grass.
Reaching Vinh Thanh town, I crossed Vinh Hiep Bridge and continued for another six kilometers before arriving at Ta Ma Spring. The moment I stepped out of the car, I felt a profound sense of peace. The air was crisp and cool, carrying the sound of birdsong and the soft murmurs of flowing water.

Before me, Ta Ma Spring unveiled its breathtaking beauty. The clear stream wound its way through the forest, tumbling over smooth rocks, embraced by towering trees. Everything here felt untouched, pristine, as if time itself had paused to preserve this tranquil paradise.
Yet, the true magic of Ta Ma Spring lies in its wild Ixora forest. Not just a few scattered blossoms, but entire groves bursting into bloom, their fiery petals forming a mesmerizing natural tapestry.
The wild Ixora here is unlike any other flower. It lacks the delicate elegance of orchids, the refined grace of lotus blossoms, or the dramatic grandeur of roses. Instead, it radiates a fierce, untamed beauty, thriving in the heart of the wilderness without human care or cultivation.
As I stood amidst this sea of blossoms, I marveled at their resilience. Each flower, small and fragile on its own, formed vibrant clusters of red, orange, and gold, painting the landscape in brilliant strokes. Their colors reflected in the crystal-clear waters of the spring, creating a sight so breathtaking that it felt almost surreal.
Ta Ma Spring is not just about admiring flowers; it invites you to experience nature in its purest form.
With a newfound sense of adventure, I waded into the stream, feeling the cool water swirl around my feet. The sensation was both refreshing and grounding, as if nature itself was welcoming me into its embrace. The soft gurgling of the water, the rustling leaves, and the distant calls of birds created a symphony of tranquility, making every step feel lighter.

At Ta Ma, you can not only admire the wild Ixora flowers but also enjoy fascinating experiences.

Deeper into the forest, I wandered through a lush green sanctuary, where sunlight filtered through dense canopies, casting golden patterns on the ground. Every moment spent here was a reminder of how effortlessly beautiful the world can be when left untouched.
The memory of Ta Ma Spring is not just something to be seen, but something to be felt, to be carried within.
As the sun began its descent behind the mountains, casting warm golden hues across the landscape, I knew my time here was coming to an end. Yet, as I made my way back to Quy Nhon, my heart remained in the wilderness - where the wild Ixora danced in the breeze, the waters whispered their eternal song, and nature’s beauty unfolded in its purest form.
Ta Ma Spring is not just a destination. It is an experience - one that lingers in the soul long after you have left. And without a doubt, I will return.
