(TITC) - On 3rd October 2023, in Ha Noi, a conference was jointly held by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) and the People’s Committee of Cao Bang Province, with the theme “Cao Bang Destination - Connection and Development”.

Addressing the event, Deputy Minister of MOFA Ha Kim Ngoc said that the conference aims to promote the image, potential and strength of Cao Bang to foreign representative offices in Vietnam as well as international organisations and foreign businesses, thus attracting more investment in the province and helping it expand international integration, strengthen economic diplomacy.
Mr. Ha Kim Ngoc pledged that the MOFA will continue to act as a bridge connecting localities and businesses of Vietnam and foreign partners.

Giving his welcoming remarks, Mr. Hoang Xuan Anh, Chairman of the Cao Bang Provincial People’s Committee stated, with the unique advantage of being a border province, Cao Bang has over 333 km of border adjacent to the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China; many rich natural resources, scenic spots, historical sites, biodiversity, and geology; has a unique culture with over 95% of the population being ethnic minorities… These conditions create potential and strengths in implementing the province’s breakthrough factors. For the 2020 – 2025 term, the province advocates effectively developing all potentials and strengths for socio-economic development, focusing on developing high-tech agriculture, tourism, and border trade economy.
With the theme “Cao Bang Destination - Connection and Development”, in the spirit of maximum support, domestic and foreign investors, businesses and partners come to study and implement investment activities, Cao Bang province commits to continue to maintain and implement a comprehensive foreign policy, contributing to making the image of Cao Bang friendly to international friends; further promote potentials and advantages, strengthen the expansion of development cooperation in all fields in depth, practicality and efficiency; Commit to properly implementing signed agreements and memorandums of understanding in the cooperation minutes; Improve coordination capacity, actively cooperate, promptly resolve emerging problems, aiming for stable and sustainable development.

At the conference, many presentations were made by provincial leaders, businesses, non-governmental organisations, embassies of countries in Vietnam, exchanges and discussions among delegates, press agencies and Cao Bang provincial authorities … about the province’s potential, advantages, a number of key areas and breakthroughs; Clarifying the issue of cooperation in human resource development; Tourism development orientation ensures preservation of environmental landscape associated with heritage conservation, development of Non Nuoc Cao Bang Global Geopark; Paying attention to developing high-tech agriculture; offering open policy mechanisms and solutions to improve the investment and business environment; attracting ODA capital to develop urban and transportation infrastructure; creating conditions for non-governmental organisations to operate and invest in the province…
