According to Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Xuan Ky, to achieve this goal, the province has carried out activities to stimulate tourism demand, promote local tourism potential, and support travel businesses to resume operation while building plans to welcome visitors from outside the province and boost tourism connectivity with other localities.
The province will target visitors from localities which have recorded no community COVID-19 for 14 consecutive days. Travellers are required to have a certificate of full vaccination and negative COVID-19 test result conducted by RT- PCR method from within the 48 hours prior to travel.
The provincial authorities have allowed the reopening several tourist services from 0:00 September 21 in line with pandemic prevention and control regulations.
As one of the localities in Vietnam to complete the delivery of the first shot of COVID-19 vaccine to its residents, the province is working hard to contain the pandemic and maintain a safe environment for the resumption of tourism activities.
In the first nine months of this year, Quang Ninh attracted around 2.58 million visitors and earned VND5.04 trillion (US$221.76 million) from the sector, down 56.1% and 59.1% against in the same period last year, respectively.
