The number of visitors reduces drastically throughout the fall and winter seasons, thus towns and companies in Phu Tho province have been taking use of regional peculiarities, giving various promotion programs and devising more appealing tours to attract travelers during low season.

Currently, Phu Tho tourism has established and developed four important tourist centers in the province: Viet Tri, Thanh Thuy district, Ha Hoa district, and Tan Son district. Creating and recognizing community cultural tourist attractions, investing in tourism infrastructure, and improving tourism services to attract domestic and international tourists. The year 2023 represents the tremendous rise of the Phu Tho tourism sector, with important events being staged at the provincial, national, and regional levels, attracting a great number of people and visitors. According to estimations, lodging service income reached about VND352 billion in the first nine months of the year, servicing over 1.8 million tourists, including nearly one million guest days.
It is reported that the Hung King Temple Historical Relic Area has provided registered tourist groups with a 20% discount for incense offering, explanation, and tour guide services. Simultaneously, a 10% or more discount on items, souvenirs, and ancestral products offered at vendors within the Relic Area. The program runs from October 5 to December 31, 2023.
With the benefit of not being as impacted by natural causes such as coastal areas, Phu Tho remains an appealing location for travelers even if it is the low season for tourism compared to the early months of the year. Guest groups, particularly those attending conferences and seminars, as well as overseas visitors, are welcome before continuing their journey.

According to the Provincial Statistics Department, overall retail sales of products and consumer service income would exceed VND37,300 billion in the first nine months of 2023, a rise of 16.8%. income from lodging and food services was over VND4,000 billion, while income from transport services was VND178 billion. The number of passengers and freight transit units reached 12.4 million...To maintain and promote tourism growth in the final months of 2023, the Tourism Association chaired the organization of the Phu Tho tourism stimulus program, guiding and mobilizing businesses to commit to participating, offering promotional packages and discounts while ensuring the quality of tourism services. Simultaneously, businesses have increased marketing, meetings, introduced new products, listened to customer and partner needs, and launched reasonable pricing strategies to stimulate demand and attract customers to use the service, as well as promoting room sales on online channels to fill the “gap” in the low season.
To date, over 30 hotels, restaurants, travel agencies, retail locations, homestays, regions, and tourist attractions have made a commitment to participate in the Phu Tho tourism stimulus program with local businesses in the fourth quarter of 2023. Tourist locations and destinations must commit to engaging responsibly and meaningfully in the Phu Tho tourism stimulus program, lowering costs without lowering quality, and laying the groundwork for making Phu Tho tourist goods more appealing and professional in the future. On the other hand, the province’s agencies and municipalities must work together to enhance communication activities and the Phu Tho tourist stimulus program. Provinces and cities around the country compete and collaborate to attract visitors to the region, to their province, and to restaurant, hotel, and travel service businesses.
