Khanh Hoa: Ponagar Temple monument to be renovated

The 12th session, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Council tenure VII, 2021 – 2026 term taking place recently approved the renovation projects of Nam Tower of Ponagar Temple monument and the precinct of the monument. The total investment of the projects is more than VND20.4 billion.

The renovation project of Ponagar Temple’s precinct will be implemented in 2023 and 2024, with expense of more than VND6.6 billion. The renovation project of Nam Tower will be implemented from 2023 to 2025, with expense of over VND13.8 billion. Nam Tower with a height of 18m is the second largest tower at Ponagar Temple monument. The tower has been dated to the 13th century and is believed to be the worshipping place of God Shiva, the husband of Thien Y A Na Holy Mother.
