The People's Committee of Hoi An City (Quang Nam province), has recently approved the task outline for developing green tour route to Cu Lao Cham (Tan Hiep Island commune, Hoi An).

The project aims to promote green tourism practices at accommodations, restaurants, souvenir shops, and attractions along the Cu Lao Cham route, establishing it as a green tourism destination.
Spanning 12 months, the initiative will assess current practices, provide guidance, and prepare certifications while enhancing awareness and promoting Cu Lao Cham as a model for green tourism.

Cu Lao Cham lies 16km off Cua Dai beach and is recognized by UNESCO as a world biosphere reserve, covering over 15.5 square kilometers. It boasts rich biodiversity and a favorable climate, making it an increasingly popular destination.
Currently, 34 businesses operate on the Hoi An - Cu Lao Cham route with 75 boats, serving about 3,000 visitors daily.
