Homestay accommodation service here is a favorite choice of many tourists. Tourists will experience daily life with the locals, living in traditional “trinh tuong“ houses that are environmentally friendly. The house consists of 3 compartments, the middle compartment is the place of worship and also a place to receive guests. The two side compartments are bedrooms. Upstairs are rooms for tourists, roofed with yin-yang tiles or corrugated iron. The Trinh tuong house has an interesting feature that is cool in the summer, warm in the winter. In the years 2012 - 2014, Caritas (Switzerland) and the Center for People and Nature (PanNature) chose Nam Dam as the place to implement a community development project. The project has supported local people in developing tourism products through the construction of trekking routes, organizing tours, routes, attractions and homestays, and supporting local people in improving their tourism skills to welcome tourists.

Up to now, Nam Dam cultural village has about 60 households living, of which nearly 40 households are planned by the local government for tourism. Nam Dam is increasingly known by many tourists for its friendly, cozy space, surrounded by a system of primeval forests and fertile terraced fields. In addition, the traditional cultural identity of the Dao people here is still intact, expressed in every lifestyle, cuisine, art forms or architecture of trinh tuong houses. Here, all buildings are built from local materials. People try to recycle as much as possible, both reducing construction costs and creating a "green" and environmentally friendly space.

When visiting Nam Dam, you may be excited to learn about their unique way of managing tourism. Accordingly, households doing tourism business will contribute a small portion of the money they earn to the village's common fund, which will be used to maintain security and order activities and the national cultural identity.
