First floating toilet in Vietnam in Can Tho

The first floating toilet in Vietnam, developed by the HCMC University of Architecture, Holcim Vietnam and Petech Corporation, was put into use last Friday at Cai Rang Floating Market in Can Tho City.
Using adobe, an eco-friendly building material, and waste treatment technology Biofast with the closed treatment process, which helps reduce the impact on the water source, the floating toilet has met 50% of standards set by the Vietnam Green Building Council (VGBC). This project was also developed to meet the demand of residents as well as tourists at the market.
