Raising environmental awareness

Update: 11/04/2013
Six Senses Ninh Van Bay Resort, a winner of the prestigious “Green Lotus Label” by Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, has contributed to environmental protection in its tourism business.

Apart from its environmentally-friendly architecture, Six Senses Ninh Van Bay Resort has one environmental day every month with clean-up activities on beaches.

Its "Happy Hand” program encourages tourists to join community activities. Guests will have a night free if spending 3 hours planting trees on the island.

During peak summer months, Vietnam Dive Center Vinadive usually organizes one day for its staff and tourists to collect trash underwater and remove crown-of-thorns starfish to protect coral reefs.

Many tourism businesses in Khanh Hoa will join the Earth Hour 2013, which will be held on Saturday, March 23 at 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. local time. Sunrise Nha Trang Hotel will turn off all of its decoration lights and guests will enjoy a candle-lit buffet and cocktail party.

The meaningful activities have contributed greatly to the local sustainable tourism development.
