On two days January 5 and 6, 2015, University of Natural Science, Hanoi National University organized the 2nd international conference of young scientists on river basin environment and management.
The conference attracted the participation of more than 60 representatives from Australia, Japan, Korea, Nepal, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam. It was an opportunity to develop a cooperative network among the management agencies in the field of environmental protection of the river basins.
During the workshop, the participants focused on talking over several outstanding issues such as framework for assessing the economic threat in flooding areas; modeling of u pollution sources, using equipment evaluating soil and water in Be river basin; the suitability of rainwater storage for water supply in monsoon tropical climates.
