The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment has decided to hold the Sea and Island Week 2015 themed “Healthy oceans, healthy planet” in Quang Ngai Province from June 5 to June 7. The theme of the week in Vietnam will be "ocean Blue, green Planet".
The main activities include a meeting to celebrate the World Oceans Day and Vietnam Sea and Islands Week in My Khe Beach, Quang Ngai City, performances, exhibitions of the Vietnam sea, islands. Also, Quang Ngai will organize a conference to promote seas and islands economic investment.
The Vietnam Sea and Islands Week is an annual activity, aimed at raising public awareness of the function, role and special importance of seas and oceans, the sustainable development of oceans and the minimization of the adverse impacts of climate change on Vietnam and the world as well.
