With a camera in hand you can wander everywhere in Bach Ma (White Horse) National Park and capture unique photos of nature. The park is 40km from the central city of Hue, located in the two districts of Phu Loc and Nam Dong, Thua Thien – Hue province.
The park was established on July 15, 1991, with a total area of more than 22,000 hectares. In January 2008, it was expanded to nearly 37,500 hectares.
According to surveys of many local and international environmental protection organisations, Bach Ma is one of the most important biospheres in Indochina. The park has nearly 2150 floral species, nearly 1500 species of fauna, including endemic species of Vietnam like sao la (Pseudoryx nghetinhensis) and many species listed in the Vietnam Red Book.
From the central city of Da Nang, visitors can reach Bach Ma by car. After around 80km, they will arrive at the tourist centre of the Bach Ma National Park. Around 200m from the centre is a track to Ngu Ho (five lakes), where visitors can have a swim and take a rest before discovering other tourist sites like Do Quyen waterfall, a forest of flowers and Tri Sao waterfall, which has rare pheasants.
Bach Ma also has Da Hat (Singing Rocks) park, where visitors can see the beauty of nature and architectural works built by a French architect named Grand in 1932.
