Vietnam to host conference of int’l commission of large dams

The 78th annual meeting of the International Commission of Large Dams (ICOLD) will be held in Vietnam by the Vietnam Commission of Large Dams (VNCOLD) from May 23-26 2010 in Hanoi.

From 600 to 1000 delegates who are leaders of national commissions of large dams and international organisations, scientists, businessmen and government officials from 90 member countries of the ICOLD will participate in the event.

This is the first time this international conference on irrigation, hydro-power and environmental issues will be organised in Southeast Asia. The conference will be very useful for the construction and development of water resources in Vietnam and other countries in the world.

The event will take place at the National Convention Centre in My Dinh, Hanoi.
