The Department of Water Resources Management said the national celebration rally in response to World Water Day 2016 is expected to be held in Viet Nam and related activities will be organized in Thanh Hoa.
As scheduled, the national rally will be held on March 22nd with the participation of about 3,500 people, including leaders of the Central Government and Local Authorities, Youth Union members, officers, employees, armed forces, pupils, students and people of Thanh Hoa.
In addition to the rally, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment will also organize some responding activities such as photo exhibition celebrating World Water Day 2016, the scientific conference with the theme "Water and Employment"; art exchange programs celebrating World Water Day 2016...
Besides Thanh Hoa, other localities also organize promotional activities to raise public awareness about the protection of water resources.
The United Nations chose the theme "Water and Jobs" for World Water Day (22/3) this year with an aim to raise awareness of the community, policy makers, managers, businesses , scientists, donors, students, students and people on the close connection between water and jobs towards the sustainable development of the economy and society.
