Mountain ebony trees planted at National Assembly House

The National Assembly (NA) Office received 40 mountain ebony trees from Dien Bien province, on February 28, which have been planted at the NA House, in front of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum.

NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan and other delegates plant 40 Ban flower trees.

The event was attended by NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, NA vice Chairwoman Tong Thi Phong and NA Chairmen: Uong Chu Luu, Do Ba Ty and Phung Quoc Hien.

The NA Chairwoman expressed her appreciation for the present from the northern mountainous province of Dien Bien, in response to the annual New Year tree planting festival.

She expressed her hope that the mountain ebony trees would be carefully cared for to blossom every spring, meeting the people’s expectations.

According to the Secretary of Dien Bien provincial Party Committee Tran Van Son, the trees came from Tay Trang area which is famous for the most beautiful flowers in the province.

The annual Mountain Ebony Flower Festival is held in March and has become a major tourism event of Dien Bien province.
