On July 20th, 2007, Vietnam National Administration of Tourism in coordination with People’s Committee of Thanh Hoa launched “Environmental protection Week” in Sam Son, Thanh Hoa Province.
Attending the ceremony were Mr. Hoang Tuan Anh, Director of Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism, Mr. Chu Pham Ngoc Hien, member of Party provincial committee, leadership of departments, sectors of province, hotels, travel agencies and local people, social organizations, youth union and pupils of Sam Son Town. At the launching ceremony, Mr. Hoang Tuan Anh said: environment protection is a global target to protect life, green-clean-beautiful environment and a important factor to develop sustainable tourism, attract tourism. On this day, director of VNAT offers 30 rubbish bins for Sam Son Town. Then, many activities was held such as: collect rubbish, clean up in beach, Truong Le Eco-tourism Zone… This event was contributed to raise awareness of people in the protection of environment. With the framework of the event, there were two training courses about Social community with environment protection task in order to develop sustainable tourism.
