The seminar “Manage and Develope marine tourism in Vietnam was held by the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism and the Binh Thuan People's Committee in Phan Thiet City, Binh Thuan Province on July 25-26, 2007.
Attending seminar were fisheries, defence, culture and transport ministries, local authorities and tourism businesses. Vice Chairman of VNAT, Mr. Pham Tu said there is still much to be done to improve marine tourism in Vietnam. There is a need for more development and planning to improve the quality and efficiency of marine tourism. Other issues on the agenda included environment protection, ways to develop sustainable tourism and joint-venture investment.
