Over the past several years, the Northern Province of Vinh Phuc’s Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has reinstated folklore games during traditional festivals in the locality in order to preserve the province’s intangible cultural values.
According to statistics by the Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, there are now more than 500 festivals held annually in the province. Several of these festivals attracted numerous tourists to the Province. Traditional folklore games have recently been held at festivals in Binh Xuyen, Tam Duong, Vinh Tuong and Lap Thach Districts.
