On March 25, in central city of Da Nang, the Management Board of the Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang's Tourist Beaches, coordinated with the Vietnam-Japan Education System, to open the marine environmental festival entitled "Green Da Nang - Clean Seas."

This program is organized to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Da Nang City (March 29, 1975 - March 29, 2025). It also aims to raise awareness among local residents and tourists about saying no to plastic waste, protecting the environment, and preserving the ecosystem of Da Nang’s tourist beaches.
Mr. Tran Dai Nghia, Deputy Head of the Management Board of the Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang’s Tourist Beaches, said that the Management Board hopes to continue collaborating with local authorities, organizations, the community, and tourists to manage environmental issues.

In particular, the program calls for the active involvement and cooperation of tourism service providers at the beaches, accommodation establishments, travel agencies, and students and the youth in Da Nang.
It provides an opportunity for Da Nang students to exchange experiences about practical models, initiatives, and actions to effectively solve environmental issues. Everyone is invited to work together to preserve the clean and beautiful marine environment.

The event also encourages the use of eco-friendly products by residents and tourists, both domestic and international, when visiting Da Nang’s beaches for recreation and sightseeing.
During the program, a large number of Da Nang students and local environmental volunteer clubs took part in meaningful activities to learn and spread knowledge, raising awareness and encouraging the community to change habits and protect the environment by saying no to plastic waste and nylon bags.

The models "Recycle for green trees" and "Refill - Refill again" initiative aimed to exchange waste for eco-friendly products such as glass bottles, cloth bags, and plants, as well as encourage the reuse or refill of consumer products instead of purchasing new ones.
The program will run until March 26.
