Considered as a professional organizer, Nha Trang now becomes a famous destination of many international events such as Miss Earth, Miss Universe, sea festivals, sports activities... creating a typical tourism brand.
In addition, thanks to the support of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (UICN), Hon Mun was recognized as the first Viet Nam's marine protected area in 2000. The UICN's support project focused on marine ecosystems conservation, local island communities' livelihood improvement and raising businesses and localities role in the process of developing friendly and sustainable tourism.
Green parks, sewage treatment and comprehensive infrastructure systems together creat a unique landscape in Nha Trang.
The provincial authorities also encourage the creativeness of travel businesses in tourism investment, tourist services and products development as well as propagandizing to enhance public awareness in environmental protection such as minimizing the over-exploitation, eco-system destruction and focusing on developing marine-based tourist products.
With above efforts, the city of Nha Trang has been creating its sea-tourism brand step by step, sustainably developing and preserving sea-tourism potentials, deserving to be a leading destination to domestic and oversea visitors.
