Waterland Thach Lam Stream, an ecological tourist area with a natural landscape and exciting games has just opened in Suoi Cat Commune, Cam Lam District. It is really a new tourist product in Khanh Hoa Province.
20 kilometers apart from the beach city Nha Trang and under Hon Ba Mountain, the new tourist destination has a good situation for tourism. Coming here, visitors can enjoy the nature with fresh stream and mountain breeze or relax in thatched cottages by the stream. Especially, this is the first place in Khanh Hoa Province having games of rafting, grass skiing, driving and paintball shooting.
On its opening day June 26, Waterland Thach Lam Stream welcomed a large number of visitors. Many of them liked the thrilling games here very much.
“The challenging feeling to row a raft and navigate the stream is extremely exciting. It has a little adventure but it brings me courage”, said a tourist named Doan Dinh Khoi from Ho Chi Minh City who has tried rafting in Cu Chi.
Waterland Thach Lam Stream are completing infrastructures for paintball shooting, a sport in which players compete, in teams or individually, to eliminate opponents by hitting them with capsules containing food coloring and gelatin (referred to as paintballs) propelled from a device called a paintball maker. This game is great favorite of many people in the world. It will be available in one month.
“I’ve experienced pleasure of paintball shooting in Madagui Tourist Area in Lam Dong Province. I’m very eager to know that Waterland Thach Lam Stream will launch this interesting game soon and I’m looking forward to it”, said Quoc, a tourist from Nha Trang.
Beside games, the tourist area has a 500-seat restaurant designed as ancient houses and a rural market with Vietnamese food. After active games, guests can drop in a thatched cottage to drink coconut milk, eat a baked sweet potato or a bowl of Vietnamese noodle made by country girls to feel the peace of the rural life.
Waterland Thach Lam Stream has been invested by White Water Vietnam Tourism Investment and Development Joint Stock Company. Director of the tourist area Nguyen Diem Dien Trang said about the reason her company chose Suoi Cat Commune, a remote and poor place to build up the tourist area, “Khanh Hoa has long since been famous for sea and island tourism while few investments have been made for ecological forest tourism. We want to build this place as a ecological sport tourist destination, bringing a new tourist product for visitors who come to the province.”
White Water Vietnam Tourism Investment and Development Joint Stock Company now are planning to construct the second stage of the tourist area, which includes a natural mud bath zone and a resort withhouses on stilts and houses on trees. Guests surely will enjoy more special tourist products then.
