(TITC) - On 1st March 2022, in Ha Noi, Mr. Nguyen Trung Khanh, Chairman of Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) chaired the meeting with the delegation of Kon Tum Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism on the plan to organise Kon Tum Tourism Forum.

Mr. Ha Van Sieu and Mr. Pham Van Thuy, VNAT’s Vice Chairmen, leaders from Vietnam Tourism Association (VITA), Vietnam Hotel Association (VHA), Vietnam Tourism Development Fund and leaders of functional departments under the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism attended the meeting.
Kon Tum Tourism Forum with the theme “Potential and Prospect” will be in charge by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MOCST) in collaboration with the People’s Committee of Kon Tum Province, is expected to take place on 23rd and 24th April 2022 in Mang Den Town, Kon Plong District, Kon Tum Province.
The event is expected to have the presence of leaders of the MOCST, VNAT, VITA; leaders of Provincial Party Committee, People’s Committee, departments of Kon Tum Province; leaders of tourism management departments of Ha Noi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Tay Nguyen provinces; economic and tourism experts; enterprises, corporations, major investors, airlines…
This is the important event of Kon Tum Province in 2022 in order to show potentials, destinations, preferential policies, and call for investments to develop tourism in Kon Tum. At the same time, define difficulties, obstacles, opportunities and challenges; identify causes and learn from experience. Thence, propose solutions and responsibilities of agencies, organisations and businesses to develop Kon Tum tourism in the future.
In the framework of the Forum, there will be many events such as an inspection programme for travel agents and press; displays of products, introduction of tourism services; meet and greet events in terms of searching for corporations…

At the meeting, the participants emphased the fam trip programme for travel agents to inspect destinations and tourism products of Kon Tum Province and signing of cooperation agreement among Kon Tum tourism and tourism businesses.
Mr. Nguyen Trung Khanh, VNAT’s Chairman highly appreciated efforts and determinations of Kon Tum Province in organising the Forum; He emphasised that this event will contribute to the recovery of Vietnam tourism industry, respond to the Visit Vietnam Year 2022 and is fit perfectly in the opening context of tourism in the upcoming time.
He indicated that this event would be organised successfully, it would make a great contribution in upholding tourism promotion in Kon Tum Province, strengthening the linkages between Tay Nguyen and the South Central Coast region.
