In order to meet the demand for cultural recreational activities of the people in the province and tourists, art units in Khanh Hoa Province have organized many programs of different scales, contents and forms, attracting the attention of the public.
Nearly 220 cultural activities
Since the beginning of 2022, Hai Dang Song and Dance Troupe has held many activities within the series of cultural activities of the province. For example, the troupe held numerous night shows on the occasions of Lunar New Year, foundation anniversary of the Party and Youth Union, anniversary of Nha Trang Town being upgraded to city status, anniversary of southern liberation and national reunification, etc. Within the framework of the activities relating to Thien Y A Na Holy Mother and framework of Nha Trang – Hello Summer 2022 program, the troupe held many shows at 2-4 Square (Nha Trang City) to serve local people and tourists. Besides, the troupe also took part in Korea-Vietnam exchange activities; formed art groups to serve people in the island district of Truong Sa (Spratly).

The provincial Center of Culture and Cinema have also carried out numerous music shows since early 2022, such as Tet activities, provincial music festival for mobile propaganda groups, Vietnamese Ethnic Groups’ Cultural Day, provincial Bai Choi Open Festival, programs about environmental protection, and propaganda music programs.
In the first six months of this year, Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Culture and Sports directed its affiliated units to carry out 26 activities of the series of Tet activities; organize 39 street art shows, 34 Bai Choi performances, 53 traditional art shows at 2-4 Square, 65 performances in the localities over the province.
Achievements at national festivals and contests
Apart from organizing music and art programs to serve people in the province and tourists, the art units of Khanh Hoa obtained outstanding achievements at the national festivals and contests held by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. For example, at the national classical drama and folk drama festival, the provincial Traditional Art Theatre achieved one bronze medal and best orchestra award. Also at this festival, Khanh Hoa artists and actors won two gold medals, six silver medals and three bronze medals. Hai Dang Song and Dance Troupe took part in the national music festival and secured one whole-group silver prize; two gold prizes, two silver prizes, one bronze prize for repertoire. Additionally, they were awarded a certificate of merit of Vietnam Artists’ Association.
As said by Nguyen Thanh Ha, director of Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Culture and Sports, the province’s culture sector in the first months of 2022 focused on carrying out well the political propaganda activities as directed by the provincial Party Committee and People’s Committee. The sector took initiative to plan and organize programs which were appropriate to the new normal of Covid-19 and got positive results. Most of the activities were implemented according to the plan with investment in both content and art form, receiving a positive response from the public.
In the time to come, the art units in the province will continue to organize music and art programs, such as the series of activities of the program namely Nha Trang – Autumn is back, Khanh Hoa welcoming New Year 2023, music festival about soldiers, and music festival for people with disabilities.
