Phu Tho is a land rich in tradition with 324 ranked historical and cultural relics, including a special national historical site Hung Kings’ Temple, 250 provincial relics. In order to promote digital transformation in the field of culture and tourism, many localities in the province have attached QR codes at historical sites so that people and tourists can easily look up information, introduced and promoted the Fatherland tourism in addition to educate historical traditions in the direction of modern digitization.
On the occasion of Hung King"s death anniversary in 2022, Phu Tho Tourism Promotion Information Center has built and deployed an automatic presentation system by scanning QR codes at Hung Lo Communal House, Viet Tri City. This is the first relic site in the province to deploy an automatic presentation system through scanning QR codes to introduce, promote and provide information to domestic and foreign tourists, creating favorable conditions for tourists when visiting Hung Lo communal house in particular and Hung Lo community-based cultural tourist site in general.
Performing the work of digital transformation and data digitization of monuments, the Culture and Information Department of Viet Tri City in collaboration with Viettel Phu Tho deployed more than 50 QR code scanning boards at the relic sites ranked from the provincial level or higher. A QR code scanning board is located at the entrance to the monument, convenient for residents and visitors to look up information. This is one of the solutions to strengthen the promotion of historical relics and typical cultural features of the city, contributing to building Viet Tri into a festival city for returning to the roots of the Vietnamese nation.
In this year"s Youth Month, the Provincial Youth Union has directed and guided implementation of the provincial youth project “the Fatherland’s Youth applies digital transformation in promotion of historical, cultural and red address sites”, and installation of QR code scanning boards at historical, cultural and red address sites in the province. When people and tourists visit the above places, using smartphones to scan the QR code will be directed to the website: https://www.ditichphutho.vn. On this website, there will be introduction and promotion information about the relevant location corresponding to each scanned QR code. Thereby, residents and visitors can easily find out information about the place they are visiting with both videos and photos, bringing a new experience to visitors about the historical origin of the relic site.
Starting as a model project at the Au Co Mother Temple relic site, Ha Hoa district, the District Youth Union’s Standing Committee coordinated with the District Culture and Information Department to compile information and images posted on the website of the Provincial Youth Union, and install QR code scanning points at the relic site for people to easily learn and look up information about the monument and Au Co Mother Temple festival, contributing to booster digital transformation in conservation and promotion of the cultural values of the Fatherland. Along with the Au Co Mother Temple, there have been many more historical sites that have deployed QR code scanning applications to look up information such as: Du Yen Temple, Thanh Ba district; Thach Khoan communal house, Thanh Son district; Song Lo Victory Monument, Doan Hung district...
Promoting digital transformation in the introduction and promotion of historical and cultural relics through scanning QR codes has actively contributed to the conservation and promotion of the historical and cultural relic values in the Fatherland, contributing to accelerating digital transformation in the field of tourism in order to attract a large number of tourists to the land of origin of the Vietnamese nation.
