Hung King Temple and the Hung King Worshiping Belief in Phu Tho are unique and distinct tangible and intangible cultural heritages of the Vietnamese people, which is preserved and maintained throughout history, from feudal dynasties until today.
In 2009, the Prime Minister signed Decision No. 1272/QD-TTg on classifying Hung King Temple as a special national relic. In 2012, the Hung King Worshiping Belief in Phu Tho was registered by UNESCO as a representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity. This confirms that Hung King Temple and the Hung King Worshiping Belief from the past to the present are always a unique cultural heritage, with long-term vitality lasting with the nation.
In recent years, under the attention of the Party, the State, and the direction of the Provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, and Provincial People’s Committee; With the support of all levels, sectors and people, Hung King Temple Historical Relic Site always pays attention and focuses on conservation and restoration such as: Implementing projects to restore and embellish the practice space for Hung King Worshiping Belief, build additional cultural institutions to make Hung King Temple become an attractive spiritual tourist destination. The works are renovated spaciously on the basis of preserving the values of the original monuments, including projects invested and built with public investment capital, merit and socialization capital.
Regularly carry out the small renovation: Anti-leakage, tile misalignment, anti-termite,... at the Temples: Ha, Trung, Thuong, Gieng, Father Lac Long Quan, Mother Au Co and Thien Quang Pagoda; renovate and embellish the landscape at the intersection of Gieng Temple and install a lighting system at Hung King Temple. Construction items are invested according to projects, in compliance with the planning approved by the Prime Minister, creating beautiful landscapes and spaces in the Relic Site, basically meeting the needs of compatriots and tourists when visiting Hung King Temple.
To ensure good implementation of conservation and restoration to promote the value of the Hung King Temple Historical Relic and the Hung King Worshiping Belief in Phu Tho in the next period, the Hung King Temple Historical Relic Site continues to well perform the tasks developed in the Plan to preserve and promote the value of the Hung King Worshiping Belief in Phu Tho in 2021-2026 period.
Carryout the restoration and embellishment of the practice space for the Hung King Worshiping Belief, accelerate the implementation of approved projects at the Hung King Temple Historical Relic Site. Connect the school model with tourism, bring heritage into schools, implement a heritage education program integrated into official and extracurricular programs at schools in the province.
