The recent holidays continue to be the occasion to witness and confirm the affection of tourists for Phu Yen province once seeing the locality being the opted destination to go sightseeing, relax, experience the culture, cuisine. This summer, with the great advantages in sea and island tourism, rural eco-tourism, the land of yellow flowers on green grass expect a hectic tourism season.

The statistics by the department of culture-sport-tourism let known that in the 1st quarter of 2023, the total number of tourists to Phu Yen province reaches 721,000, quadrupling the same period last year. The total revenue is 995.6 billion dongs, 2.5 times as high as the same period last year; among which, revenue from accommodation is 142.7 billion dongs, 2.5 times as high as last year. These figures are positive when those working in tourism continue investing, upgrading the services and competence to receive tourists once the tourism season is approaching.
Besides the great signals in the growth figures, this year sees the returns of international tourists with 4,80 tourists in the first quarter, 5.5 times as high as the same period last year. In the last holiday season, Phu Yen tourism acknowledged the record growth with the total number of tourists coming to Phu Yen province in 5 days being 42,600, marking an increase of 44% against the same period last year, with the number of international tourists being 570.
Such check-in sports, sightseeing zones opted by the majority of tourists are: Nghinh Phong tower, Tuy hoa city coastal park, the scenic sports and heritages in the province (namely Da Dia reef, Nhan mountain, Mon beach-Dien Cape…); the tourist destinations, entertaining and cuisine spots in the province were all full of tourists, these include Quang Duc Xua cultural-tourism space, Hon Xua (Tuy An district); Jrai Tang waterfall eco-tourism spot (Song hinh district), the red tree garden in Van Hoa highland and come other spots for experiencing, check-in for agricultural tourism, community eco-tourism destinations…
In the past time, the domestic tourists coming to Phu Yen province has increased considerably and these are also the potential source of tourists in the coming time, particularly those from the highlands provinces, HCMC, Ha Noi and adjacent provinces. Most tourists let known that they choose Phu Yen province thanks to the long coastline, nice beaches and the fresh air. Here, the province still possesses the immense paddy fields, the lush forests with intact waterfalls and the unique garden houses by the riverbank, the simple villages,….Mrs. Tran Huynh Nhat Doan and her spouse from Ha Noi came to Phu Yen province and they shared that they got indulging in the fresh air of Tuy Hoa city, they enjoyed going swimming in the sea and enjoying the cuisine here. “In the past holiday, my family chose to stay at Mandala Hotel & Spa Phú Yên. We will come back because there are still lots of places we have not yet visited, quite many types of dishes we have not tried, the cuisine here is so much great, especially when we witness the performance of oceanic tuna by the chefs”, Mr. Nhat Doan’s husband said.
With Phu Yen tourism cuisine is one significant factor to attract and gain the locality of tourists. The dishes here always bear the particular features, rich in spices and the seafood is so tasty, particularly, once coming to the province, tourists find it impossible to ignore the tuna fish.
