(TITC) - Few places in Vietnam are as charming as Phu Yen - the land of the rising sun. The province of Vietnam has been well-known thanks to a famous Vietnamese movie “Yellow Flowers on the Green Grass” (Toi thay hoa vang tren co xanh), launched in 2015.
The coastal Phu Yen Province lies midway between Binh Dinh and Khanh Hoa provinces, in the curving South Central Coast of Vietnam. The province's territory encompasses various kinds of landscapes including a long 200-km coastline, beaches, lagoons, mountains, plateau, and rock formations. Phu Yen features tropical weather with the dry season from January to August and the rainy season from September to December. May and July are the hottest months and also the peak tourist season.

Back in the time, the province was associated with the long standing and prideful history of the Champa Kingdom, until now, there are many relics of Champa lies in this province, namely the Ho Citadel, Nhan Tower, Ba Mountain, Phu Lam Tower, etc. Nature has rewarded Phu Yen with many beautiful beaches which are suitable for developing resort and sports tourism types. Beaches have the combination between mountains, beaches with white sand sloped gently and blue sea water reflecting rows of filao trees and coconut trees. Phu Yen attracts tourists, especially the young ones, by its charming beaches, stunning nature and ideal places suitable for photo shooting such as extraordinary rock columns formed by volcanic eruptions called "Ghenh Da Dia" (Da Dia Reef), Bai Xep, Mui Dien (Cape), the Gothic-style Mang Lang Church... Recently, Nghinh Phong tower, right in the centre of Tuy Hoa City is attractive and becomes a check-in spot, especially for the young.

Visitors can go on a holiday in both Quy Nhon City (Binh Dinh Province) and Phu Yen since the two locations are near each other. Since Phu Yen is quite new for visitors, it is not as crowded as Phu Quoc, Da Nang or Nha Trang, many spots are not yet fully explored by tourists and they keep the primitive and wildlife as they are.
To the romantic souls, coming to Bai Xep and immersing yourself in the pinky dawn is a must-moment that visitors should not miss, listening to the melody of the ocean, music to the souls while gathering the emerald sea within the sweep of the eye. Additionally, Phu Yen Province is a place for memorable group photo shoots. Young people come here with their friends not only for a summer escape but also to capture the most memorable moments with their friends.
The ideal time to visit Phu Yen is from the end of May to August. Tourist points such as Nghinh Phong Tower and Van Hoa Plateau are new places to experience. In addition, local cuisine is reasonably cheap. Visitors are recommended to try featured dishes of Phu Yen such as Ocean tuna eyes, Ocean Tuna sashimi, “Salted chicken” - Starry triggerfish, the fish live mainly in the waters of Khanh Hoa, Binh Thuan, Ninh Thuan and Phu Yen beaches, gilled Muong fish, chicken rice, dove sticky rice, Hoa Da rice paper, O Loan Lagoon Jellyfish Salad, etc.
Moving to Phu Yen is pretty convenient with the availability of many means of transportations such as plane, train, and bus.
By plane: Tuy Hoa Airport is only 10km away from the city centre and there are several flights from major cities such as Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City to this airport per day.
By train: Tuy Hoa is the biggest railway station in Phu Yen Province, situated on the North-South Railway. Visitors can easily catch a train to the province.
By bus: One of the most affordable means of transport and a great ideal to enjoy the view along the way to Phu Yen.
