The central localities of Quang Nam and Da Nang have proposed connecting tourism service providers to create a common destination, providing greater experiences for international visitors.

The scheme will see travel firms design package tours that last for seven days specifically for foreign tourists.
The joint scheme formulated by the administrations of Quang Nam and Da Nang has been submitted to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for consideration and approval.
Both localities said they will closely coordinate efforts to ensure the effectiveness of the scheme due to start on January 1, 2022.
Nguyen Son Thuy, vice chairman of the Quang Nam Tourism Association, pointed out that the joint scheme will offer additional convenience for international visitors, whilst also helping to design diverse tours to various destinations throughout the region and providing travelers with fresh experiences.
Quang Nam and Da Nang, alongside Quang Ninh, and Khanh Hoa, have been allowed to receive foreign visitors under a pilot programme approved by the Prime Minister. First groups of tourists with a vaccine passport arrived in Quang Nam, Da Nang and Kien Giang in late November, and all these packaged tours proved to be safe.
Quang Ninh is anticipated to welcome the first group of foreign visitors at the end of January next year.
According to Nguyen Vu Khac Huy, vice chairman of the Kien Giang Tourism Association, the complicated nature of the COVID-19 pandemic, especially the emergence of the Omicron variant, has raised concerns among international tourists.
Some of its partners in Singapore, Malaysia, and the Republic of Korea have informed travel firms in Kien Giang about temporarily suspending bringing tourists to the Phu Quoc island city until January 2022.
