(TITC) - On 25th July 2023, in Quang Nam Province, Quang Nam Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism chaired and coordinated with Da Nang City Department of Tourism and Thua Thien Hue Provincial Department of Tourism, to organised the Conference on joint development of green tourism in Quang Nam - Da Nang - Thua Thien Hue.
Overview of the conference
The conference on joint development of green tourism in Quang Nam - Da Nang - Thua Thien Hue was organised to further promote the effectiveness of tourism cooperation and association; at the same time promote the strengths of the tourism potential of the localities; building and diversifying new tourism products in the direction of green and sustainability to create attractiveness of destinations; strengthen linkages and cooperation between travel businesses of the 3 localities in building tour programmes associated with green tourist attractions in order to attract domestic and international tourists.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hong, Director of Quang Nam Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said, this conference is the premise for the three departments to research, exchange and propose solutions to promote the development of green tourism products to form a pure green tour, a contribution to diversify tourism products in line with current and future tourism trends, meeting the demands of tourists who want to enjoy safe, eco-friendly tourism products. Thereby, to promote and introduce the image of tourism in the three localities with the message "Green tourism - Connecting and developing".
The conference is one of practical solutions to promote tourism recovery and development post the Covid-19 pandemic; restructuring the tourism market, attracting high spending tourists, affirmed Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hong. Simultaneously, providing an additional practical basis to propose specific solutions and actions to promote green tourism of Quang Nam Province in particular and the three localities of Quang Nam - Da Nang - Thua Thien Hue in the near future.
In the framework of the conference, the Signing Ceremony of a cooperation agreement to promote the development of a green tourism product chain between the tourism associations of 3 localities Quang Nam - Da Nang - Thua Thien Hue took place.
On 24th July, Programme to learn potential tourist destinations in the direction of green and sustainable tourism was held in 2 districts of Duy Xuyen and Nong Son (Quang Nam Province). The inspect team visited the Phan Ngoc Anh ecotourism garden (Duy Xuyen); visit, inspect Dai Binh Eco-Tourism Village (Nong Son), visit cottage-garden and enjoy fruit products; visit Hon Kem Da Dung (Nong Son)...
