(TITC) - According to Lonely Planet, Vietnam boasts 3.400 km of coast, a fair share of resplendent beaches - not to mention the handful of tropical, coral-ringed islands bobbing off shore. Beaches in Vietnam are places suitable for families, and a quiet cove to escape the crowds.
An Bang
Located 3km north of the Hoi An Ancient Town, An Bang is considered as one of Vietnam’s most happening and enjoyable beaches. Visitors to An Bang will enjoy the beautiful stretch of fine sand and an enormous horizon. Besides, just a short distance to reach Cham Islands via boats or canoes. Day trips to Hoi An or relaxing on the beach is a good strategy.

Phu Quoc
Pearl Island is one of the must-visit beaches for Western expats and sun-seeking tourists. White-sand beaches and with large tracts of the interior still cloaked in dense tropical jungle. Head to Sao beach for picture-perfect white sand and mineral-water clear sea. Plus, going on an island hopping tour to visit the islands off of Phu Quoc's southern coast or its lesser-visited northern coast. Or catch the reasonably-priced 8km-long cable car from the An Thoi Station on the island far south to Hon Thom Island with bonus panoramic views.
Nha Trang
Nha Trang offers a 6km-long golden-sand beach and plenty of very reasonably-priced island hopping tours available that include lunch and snorkelling. Beaches in north Nha Trang, around Ninh Van Bay are perfect for a day trip.
Con Son
An hour's flight from Ho Chi Minh City (or a longer ferry ride from several southern cities), Con Son is the largest of the chain of 15 islands and islets of Con Dao - one of Vietnam's star attractions. Con Dao may be famous among visitors as a historic site. However, Con Son has lovely beaches, coral reefs and scenic bays, and remains partially covered in tropical forests.
Mui Ne
Mui Ne is famous for its beach resorts and an ideal place for visitors to party at night and snooze on sunbeds during the day. Between late October and April is the best time for kitesurfing. The opening of the Dau Giay-Phan Thiet highway in mid-2023 has cut down travel time between Ho Chi Minh City and Mui Ne from 4.5 hours to a little over two, so visitors can spend more time in Mui Ne and enjoy outdoor activities and beach sports.

Doc Let
Doc Let is among Vietnam’s best beaches and the most beautiful beach in Khanh Hoa Province. Doc Let has a long stretch of silky white sand with shallow waters suitable for timid swimmers or families with children. Keep heading north along the coast for more secluded spots including Bai Bau and Bai Xep.
Ho Coc
Just about 2 hours and a half from Ho Chi Minh City, Ho Coc beach stretches for almost 10km north of Ho Tram, has golden sands, clear waters and a peaceful atmosphere.
My Khe
Belongs to Da Nang - the city of bridges and the most liveable city in Vietnam, My Khe beach lasted 10km from the base of the Son Tra Peninsula to the Marble Mountains (Ngu Hanh Son). The beach is famous for its blue sky, smooth white sand, gentle slope, clear and warm water year round and beautiful areas surrounded by coconut trees. Peaceful, natural, relaxing are what visitors can feel while in here. Visitors can also join in Tai Chi sessions in the early morning and evening.

Cat Ba
Ha Long Bay is way too famous among travellers around the world. The largest island of Ha Long Bay - Cat Ba Archipelago got the serenity from the charm of UNESCO Heritage. The three beaches of Cat Co Cove, a ten-minute walk southeast from Cat Ba Town, are perhaps the pick of the bunch.

My Khe in Quang Ngai
This My Khe is located a couple of kilometres from Quảng Ngãi in the Central Vietnam and boasts a superb beach, with fine white sand and good swimming. The shoreline's profile is gently shelving so it's great for children.
